Roy Brashear (Roy Parks Brashear) was born on January 3, 1874 in Ashtabula, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 25, 1902 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1902, his rookie year, he hit .276 with 1 home run and 40 RBI. Brashear played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 2 year career.
