Roy Thomas (Roy Allen Thomas) was born on March 24, 1874 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1899 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1899, his rookie year, he hit .325 with 0 home runs and 47 RBI. Thomas played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Doves over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Roy Thomas's best season was 1899, when he stole 42 bases and hit for a .325 average.
