Ross Youngs (Royce Middlebrook Youngs) was born on April 10, 1897 in Shiner, Texas. He made his Major League debut on September 25, 1917 for the New York Giants. In 1918, his rookie year, he hit .302 with 1 home run and 25 RBI. Youngs played for the New York Giants for his entire 10 year career.

Most people believe that Ross Youngs's best season was 1923, when he hit for a .336 average and knocked in 87 runs.
