Ross Nagel (Ross Otto Nagel) was born on June 12, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going to high school at Maplewood (St. Louis, MO), Nagel attended Saint Louis University. Nagel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the New York Yanks and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1951 was Ross Nagel's best year.
