Born on January 7, 1950 in Topeka, Kansas, Ross Grimsley (Ross Albert II Grimsley) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, Montreal Expos and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 11 year career. Grimsley broke into the bigs on May 16, 1971 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 3.57 ERA in 161.1 innings pitched in 1971, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ross Grimsley's best season was 1974, when he posted a 3.07 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 158 batters.
