Roscoe Word (Roscoe Word) was born on July 24, 1952 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After going to high school at Dellarway (Pine Bluff, AR), Word attended Jackson State University. Word made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1974 was Roscoe Word's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
