Born on December 2, 1876 in Greenville, Indiana, Roscoe Miller (Roscoe Clyde Miller) played for the Detroit Tigers, New York Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 4 year career. Miller broke into the bigs on April 25, 1901 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 2.95 ERA in 332 innings pitched in 1901, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Roscoe Miller's best season was 1901, when he posted a 2.95 ERA, won 23 games and struck out 79 batters.
