Ron Shumon (Ronald Shumon) was born on December 11, 1955 in Flint, Michigan. After going to high school at Haverford (Havertown, PA), Shumon attended Wichita State University. Shumon made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1978 was Ron Shumon's best year.
