Ron Samford

Ron Samford (Ronald Edward Samford) was born on February 28, 1930 in Dallas, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1954 for the New York Giants. In 1959, his rookie year, he hit .224 with 5 home runs and 22 RBI. Samford played for the New York Giants, Detroit Tigers and Washington Senators over the course of his 4 year career.
