Ron Northey

Ron Northey (Ronald James Northey) was born on April 26, 1920 in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1942 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .251 with 5 home runs and 31 RBI. Northey played for the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that Ron Northey's best season was 1944, when he slugged 22 home runs, hit for a .288 average and knocked in 104 runs.
