Ron Meyer (Ronald Allen Meyer) was born on August 27, 1944 in Austin, Minnesota. After going to high school at Wells (MN), Meyer attended South Dakota State University. Meyer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
