Ron Hansen (Ronald Lavern Hansen) was born on April 5, 1938 in Oxford, Nebraska. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1958 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1960, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 22 home runs and 86 RBI. Hansen played for the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Ron Hansen's best season was 1964, when he slugged 20 home runs and knocked in 68 runs.
