Ron Goovert (Ronald Edward Goovert) was born on February 2, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at Hazel Park (MI), Goovert attended Michigan State University. Goovert made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
