Born on November 12, 1947 in Redlands, California, Ron Bryant (Ronald Raymond Bryant) played for the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 8 year career. Bryant broke into the bigs on September 29, 1967 with the San Francisco Giants, and put up a 4.37 ERA in 57.2 innings pitched in 1969, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ron Bryant's best season was 1973, when he posted a 3.53 ERA, won 24 games and struck out 143 batters.
