Ron Botchan (Ronald Leslie Botchan) was born on February 15, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York. After going to high school at Belmont (Los Angeles, CA), Botchan attended Occidental College. Botchan made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played for the Houston Oilers and Los Angeles Chargers over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1960 was Ron Botchan's best year.
