Rolando Roomes (Rolando Audley Roomes) was born on February 15, 1962 in Kingston, Jamaica. He made his Major League debut on April 12, 1988 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1989, his rookie year, he hit .263 with 7 home runs and 34 RBI. Roomes played for the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and Montreal Expos over the course of his 3 year career.
