Born on April 10, 1911 in Evansville, Illinois, Roger Wolff (Roger Francis Wolff) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Washington Senators, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 7 year career. Wolff broke into the bigs on September 20, 1941 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.32 ERA in 214.1 innings pitched in 1942, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Roger Wolff's best season was 1945, when he posted a 2.12 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 108 batters.
