Roger Peckinpaugh
[edit] Biography
Roger Peckinpaugh (Roger Thorpe Peckinpaugh) was born on February 5, 1891 in Wooster, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 15, 1910 for the Cleveland Naps. In 1912, his rookie year, he hit .212 with 1 home run and 22 RBI. Peckinpaugh played for the Cleveland Naps, New York Yankees, Washington Senators and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 17 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Roger Peckinpaugh's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1921, when he hit for a .288 average and knocked in 71 runs. However, others believe that it was 1914, when he stole 38 bases and knocked in 51 runs.
