Roger Mahoney (Roger Sylvis Mahoney) was born on July 19, 1906. After going to high school at Northeast (Philadelphia, PA), Mahoney attended Pennsylvania State University. Mahoney made his professional debut in the NFL in 1928 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played for the Frankford Yellow Jackets and Minneapolis Red Jackets over the course of his 3 year career.
