Born on August 30, 1956 in Springfield, Illinois, Roger Erickson (Roger Farrell Erickson) played for the Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees over the course of his 6 year career. Erickson broke into the bigs on April 6, 1978 with the Minnesota Twins, and put up a 3.96 ERA in 265.2 innings pitched in 1978, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Roger Erickson's best season was 1978, when he posted a 3.96 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 121 batters.
