Roger Ellis (Roger Calvin Ellis) was born on February 1, 1938 in Boston, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Westwood (MA), Ellis attended the University of Maine. Ellis made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the New York Titans. He played for the New York Titans and New York Jets over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1960 was Roger Ellis's best year.
