Born on February 17, 1930 in Durham, North Carolina, Roger Craig (Roger Lee Craig) played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 12 year career. Craig broke into the bigs on July 17, 1955 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and put up a 2.78 ERA in 90.2 innings pitched in 1955, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Roger Craig's best season was 1959, when he posted a 2.06 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 76 batters.
