Roger Clemens or David Beckham…

Who’s the bigger loser? Or is it a joke? No, no, I believe the correct term to use would be gold digger! Yeah, that’s it! In essence that’s what these two have really been! Nothing more then your typical peroxide-blonde, fake-breasted, botoxed-faced, collagen-enhanced, anal-bleached shadow of yourself! Your classic pole hugger tease! Now for both the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Galaxy they’re wishing upon their stars that somehow, someway these two gold diggers are part of the Bad Newz Kennel group, so both clubs can follow in the footsteps of Arthur Blank and try and get back as much money as possible!

Look, we all knew in both instances it had all the bad elements that one would find on a movie set filming Home Alone 4! Dubbed as one of the most recognizable athletes in the world and more importantly, one of best soccer players in the game today, David Beckham caused an international uproar, unparalleled in the history of Major League Soccer when he signed with the Galaxy on January 11, 2007. "Beckham Mania" finally began on U.S soil in late July. The 32-year-old, one of the most recognizable figures in the game, triggered unprecedented fan interest at Los Angeles Galaxy while making serious inroads into the glitzy showbiz world of Hollywood. Well, that’s for about two weeks…Until we saw how much of a pansy ass, pussy he is. He was supposed to change the culture about soccer in this country, our perception of it, but instead he has just reiterated what we already have known for years! We don’t give a rats ass about soccer…Never have, never will! Although if Hugh Hefner and his Playboy brass developed a Playmate/Bunny soccer league…Well, that’s the only way for soccer in this country could capture our attention! Hell, we don’t even give a shit about baseball and it’s our national pastime! Or at least that’s what they say it is!

Speaking of baseball, Roger Clemens is one of the most overpowering pitchers in MLB history. As Beckham was thought to be the saviour of Major League Soccer…The "Rocket" himself was supposed to be a saviour in his own right. His mission was to be the save the Pinstripers for the 2007 season and push them towards the playoffs. Well, we know how both scripts end up being written…Both signed monstrous, outrageous, incomprehensible, contracts that were preposterous to fathom when signed. Now that both individuals have done their best gold digger impersonation the one telling question remains…Who got shafted more? The Yankees or the Galaxy? Either way you look at it both clubs got what they deserved?

Roger Clemens Salary…

      • (Disclaimer…Calculated figures before poor little elbow issues)***

Salary per Start: $3,250,000

Salary per Minute: $32,663.316

Salary per Goal…That’s real easy! No calculator needed…$6,500,000

NUTS AND BOLTS…WHO GOT SCREWED MORE? MORE IMPORTANTLY…WHO GOT SCREWED HARDER?

Vote in LastRowSports.com new Pick’em Poll in honor of football season, which asks a very difficult question and one everybody needs to put that grapes on the table and ask themselves… The all important "Beverage Battle" Some take the Coke & Pepsi Challenge…LastRowSports.com wants you to take the "Beer Challenge"! Will or Lose, no matter what, we still booze…The question is with what? Although this question does come with a warning label! "After making the difficult, monumental selection…One might feel the way Reggie Bush did and Sheldon Brown Knocked him into Tomorrow-Land!" Vote early and often…Just remember, Don’t Click & Type!

Definitely Clemens, I doubt Beckham is there to win, just to bring up on sport that's doesn't get much attention in this nation. Clemens was got by the Yankees to have a winning .pct much better than .500 -Kwass

1) Clemens' contract was for $19 million, and his pro-rated salary (projected out over the course of the season) was $28 million, right? 2) The Galaxy have gotten pretty much nothing other than two TV games and some exposure for $250 million. The Yankees have gotten 100 IP of a 4.00 ERA for $18 million. There's no comparison, even; the Yankees overpaid for a #3 starter, and the Galaxy gave a ridiculous amount of money for...what, exactly?

I don't think all of that $250 Million is in salary. I think most of it is in endorsements from American companies pimping soccer and MLS.

Becks signed a 5 year deal, given that, a bit of patience is needed so he can sort out his injuries. It is admirable that he still wants to play for England and I wish him the best. Clemens should just go away.

Clemens act has been sickening for a while now. Kudos to him for getting sych sweetheart deals, but ENOUGH! the guy's a .500 pitcher now who takes the first two months of every season off.

Beckham is in fact still a very good soccer player who's been battling injuries. Of course he was heavily marketed! He is one of the two or three most recognizable athletes on the planet, it would be foolish not to hype him up.

Also Beckham's "$250 million contract" was reported in a similar manner to every "$50-$60 million" NFL contract- that figure is the theoretical maximum he could earn and most of it is not guaranteed. And it's a FIVE-YEAR deal; one disappointing, injury-shortened season doesn't destroy the whole thing. Think of Carlos Beltran's first year with the Mets. How retarded did the Mets look for dumping nine figures on Beltran, who incidentally does not have a tenth of Beckham's fame or marketing clout? (By the way, I'm not trying to slam Beltran, it was just an apt comparison)

Clemens is the far bigger loser and may want to look into GOING AWAY very soon.

Whoever paid Beckam is the big loser because soccer is still the sport "that will take off in the US someday"... I've been hearing that for nearly 40 years

Got to be a tie cause at this point in their respective careers they are overrated and overpaid and very fragile it seems.
