Roger Clemens' Right Elbow is Cranky

I am somewhat amazed that hundreds of hyperventilating Oh My God! articles have yet to be posted on New York Yankees dinosaur pitcher Roger Clemens and his sore ego right elbow which apparently will be imaged via MRI (no word yet if the Rocket's elbow films will be auctioned off on Ebay or not). Undoubtedly (after all, only the most cynical Yankee hater could possibly presume anything else...) Clemens' pitching mechanics were compromised by this condition, which resulted in a shellacking at the hands of the Seattle Mariners.
This is a nice change for Mr. Clemens. Normally, it is a hamstring that disrupts his pitching. At least a degenerating elbow gives us all something new to argue agonize over here at the 'Chair. I guess the surgeon that managed to sutcher Curt Schilling's tendon back to his ankle was unavailable tonight for the 6-6 (but who says win totals are important for pitchers anyways?) 4.45 ERA (hey those decimal numbers match his age!) Yankee pitcher.
Perhaps there is something to be said for all ballplayers attending spring training regardless of age or "legendary status". However, judging from the photograph above, it appears that Roger's post-baseball career aspirations to becoming a certified Pilates instructor are well underway indeed (no word yet if Mike Piazza intends to register for the class).
Finally, unless mistaken, if you listen really carefully outside on this Labor Day holiday evening, those far off echoes of jubilation mixed with chants of "Ef You Rog" are indeed originating from the east coast, suspiciously in the direction of Boston.
And before every NY Yankee lovin' fan bashes the hell out of the tone for this little news bit, keep in mind that I am without the benefit of a sarcasm font... well perhaps half-sarcasm font.
Get well Roger! There is always next year?
