Roethlisberger Out For Week One

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger will not play Thursday against the Miami Dolphins because of an emergency apendectomy underwent today. (Ben should Fear the Chunky Soup Curse!)

In addition, Steelers WR Hines Ward is questionable because of a hamstring injury.

Even with a laparascopic procedure, it's hard to imagine returning to NFL game action in less than 3 weeks. Yeah, I know these guys aren't normal humans.

I agree. I was surprised they only said he'd be out for one week. I know they like to play these things by ear, but how can he not be out for certain for at least two or three games?
