Rodger Bird (Rodger Paul Bird) was born on July 2, 1943 in Corbin, Kentucky. After going to high school at Corbin (KY), Bird attended the University of Kentucky. Bird made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Oakland Raiders for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1966 was Rodger Bird's best year, as he picked off 4 passes.
