Roddick done at Roland Garros

8
Vote

Andy Roddick's French Open is over, after pulling out in the third set of his match against Alberto Martin. Roddick was losing the match, 6-4, 7-5, 1-0 when he retired due to an ankle injury which he began suffering from last week in Germany.

That leaves James Blake as the only seeded American man. While Roddick was not going to win the French Open (his power is totally neutralized by the clay), it's still got to be a disappointment. Hopefully he'll be better in time for Wimbledon next month.

I'm a Blake fan, personally, but this sucks. It doubly sucks because the injury is probably minor -- 15-day DL type -- but because of the timing, it means a lost Major.
