Rod Gilbreath (Rodney Joe Gilbreath) was born on September 24, 1952 in Laurel, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on June 17, 1972 for the Atlanta Braves. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .243 with 2 home runs and 16 RBI. Gilbreath played for the Atlanta Braves for his entire 7 year career.
