Rod Breedlove (Rodney Winston Breedlove) was born on March 10, 1938 in Cumberland, Maryland. After going to high school at Allegany (Cumberland, MD), Breedlove attended the University of Maryland. Breedlove made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 8 year career.
