Robert West (Robert Harold West) was born on October 3, 1950 in San Diego, California. After going to high school at Lincoln (San Diego, CA), West attended Mesa Community College and San Diego State University. West made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1972 was Robert West's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
