Robert Jones (Robert Lee Jones) was born on September 27, 1969 in Blackstone, Virginia. After going to high school at Fork Union (VA) Military Academy and Nottoway (Blackstone, VA), Jones attended East Carolina University. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1992 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1998 was Robert Jones's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown and recorded 5 sacks.
