Robert Edwards (Robert Lee Edwards, III) was born on October 2, 1974 in Tennille, Georgia. After going to high school at Washington County (Sandersville, GA), Edwards attended the University of Georgia. Edwards made his professional debut in the NFL in 1998 with the New England Patriots. He played for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots over the course of his 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1998 was Robert Edwards's best year, as he ran for 1115 yards, ran in 9 TDs and hauled in 35 receptions.
