Robby Thompson (Robert Randall Thompson) was born on May 10, 1962 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He made his Major League debut on April 8, 1986 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1986, his rookie year, he hit .271 with 7 home runs and 47 RBI. Thompson played for the San Francisco Giants for his entire 11 year career.

Most people believe that Robby Thompson's best season was 1993, when he slugged 19 home runs, hit for a .312 average and knocked in 65 runs.
