Rob Nelson (Robert Augustus Nelson) was born on May 17, 1964 in Pasadena, California. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1986 for the Oakland Athletics. Nelson played for the Oakland Athletics and San Diego Padres over the course of his 4 year career.
