Rip Radcliff (Raymond Allen Radcliff) was born on January 19, 1906 in Kiowa, Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1934 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1935, his rookie year, he hit .286 with 10 home runs and 68 RBI. Radcliff played for the Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Browns and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Rip Radcliff's best season was 1936, when he hit for a .335 average and knocked in 82 runs.
