Riley Matheson (Riley Matheson) was born on December 12, 1914 in Shannon, Texas. After going to high school at Hedrick (OK)*, Matheson attended Cameron University and the University of Texas-El Paso. Matheson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Cleveland Rams. He played in the NFL for 9 years, playing for the Cleveland Rams, Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions over the course of his 9 year NFL career.Matheson also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time.
