Born on November 13, 1969 in Tijuana, Baja California (Mexico), Rigo Beltran (Rigoberto Beltran) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies and Montreal Expos over the course of his 5 year career. Beltran broke into the bigs on June 2, 1997 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.48 ERA in 54.1 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Rigo Beltran's best season was 1997, when he posted a 3.48 ERA and struck out 50 batters.
