Riggs Stephenson (Jackson Riggs Stephenson) was born on January 5, 1898 in Akron, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1921 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1921, his rookie year, he hit .330 with 2 home runs and 34 RBI. Stephenson played for the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Riggs Stephenson's best season was 1929, when he slugged 17 home runs, hit for a .362 average and knocked in 110 runs.
