Ricky Thompson (Ricky D. Thompson) was born on May 15, 1954 in El Paso, Texas. After going to high school at Gatesville (TX), Thompson attended Baylor University. Thompson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1976 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Colts and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1981 was Ricky Thompson's best year, as he caught 4 TD passes.
