Ricky Atkinson (Richard E. Atkinson, Jr.) was born on August 28, 1965 in Middletown, Connecticut. After going to high school at Valley (Deep River, CT), Atkinson attended Southern Connecticut State University. Atkinson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 1 year career.
