Rick Sweet (Ricky Joe Sweet) was born on September 7, 1952 in Longview, Washington. He made his Major League debut on April 8, 1978 for the San Diego Padres. In 1978, his rookie year, he hit .221 with 1 home run and 11 RBI. Sweet played for the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 3 year career.
