Rick Manning (Richard Eugene Manning) was born on September 2, 1954 in Niagara Falls, New York. He made his Major League debut on May 23, 1975 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .285 with 3 home runs and 35 RBI. Manning played for the Cleveland Indians and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 13 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Rick Manning's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1976, when he hit for a .292 average. However, others believe that it was 1979, when he stole 30 bases and knocked in 51 runs.
