Rick Leach (Richard Max Leach) was born on May 4, 1957 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on April 30, 1981 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1982, his rookie year, he hit .239 with 3 home runs and 12 RBI. Leach played for the Detroit Tigers, Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Rick Leach's best season was 1986, when he hit for a .309 average.
