Rick Ferrell

Rick Ferrell (Richard Benjamin Ferrell) was born on October 12, 1905 in Durham, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1929 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1929, his rookie year, he hit .229 with 0 home runs and 20 RBI. Ferrell played for the St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox and Washington Senators over the course of his 18 year career.
Most people believe that Rick Ferrell's best season was 1933, when he hit for a .290 average and knocked in 77 runs.
