Rick Cerone (Richard Aldo Cerone) was born on May 19, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on August 17, 1975 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1978, his rookie year, he hit .223 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI. Cerone played for the Cleveland Indians, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and Montreal Expos over the course of his 18 year career.

Most people believe that Rick Cerone's best season was 1980, when he hit for a .277 average and knocked in 85 runs.
