Rick Casares (Richard Jose Casares) was born on July 4, 1931 in Tampa, Florida. After going to high school at Jefferson (Tampa, FL), Casares attended the University of Florida. Casares made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 11 year, playing for the Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins over the course of his 11 year NFL career.Casares also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time.

Most people believe that 1956 was Rick Casares's best year, as he ran for 1126 yards and ran in 12 TDs.
