Richie Mccabe (Richard Paul McCabe) was born on March 12, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at North Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA), Mccabe attended the University of Pittsburgh. Mccabe made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins over the course of his 4 year NFL career.Mccabe also played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time.
Most people believe that 1955 was Richie Mccabe's best year, as he picked off 3 passes and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
