Born on November 1, 1958 in New York, New York, Rich Thompson (Richard Neil Thompson) played for the Cleveland Indians and Montreal Expos over the course of his 3 year career. Thompson broke into the bigs on April 28, 1985 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 6.30 ERA in 80 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.
