Richard Joseph Harley

Dick Harley (Richard Joseph Harley) was born on September 25, 1872 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on June 2, 1897 for the St. Louis Perfectos. In 1897, his rookie year, he hit .291 with 3 home runs and 35 RBI. Harley played for the St. Louis Perfectos, Cleveland Spiders, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 7 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Dick Harley's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1899, when he knocked in 50 runs. However, others believe that it was 1901, when he stole 37 bases.
