Richard Hicks (Richard Winslow Hicks) was born on January 4, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio. After going to high school at George Washington (Los Angeles, CA), Hicks attended Humboldt State University, Los Angeles Southwest College and West Los Angeles College. Hicks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
